Ada County Landfill - Leachate Treatment

Landfill expansion coupled with wetter than average weather resulted in the Ada County Landfill discharging more leachate than their existing leachate treatment ponds could handle.  Excessive haul off costs and limited funds meant that the landfill needed a quick solution to reduce leachate.  G3 proposed a leachate reduction solution that required to additional permitting through the State, expediating the overall project schedule.  The project was successfully delivered over a year ahead of schedule using a design-build delivery model, saving the landfill over a year of haul-off costs and eliminating the need for a new pond or complicated treatment equipment, long term O&M expenses.
